During Fashion Week I had the opportunity to stop by the Now and Zen public relations showroom. I couldn't believe the amount of stunning clothes and accessories they had there. We were also able to pick out a few outfits to wear during the week, and of course I had to wear this absolutely darling jacket and peplum. I love mixing prints and textures, and when they seemingly flow together it makes for an outfit that stands out above the rest. I hope you love it as much as I do.
Yay! Its starting to finally feel like fall here in New Jersey! Yesterday it only got up to 75, but mostly stayed in the late 60's early 70's. I guess its time I started to pull out my sweaters and booties. Oh, and make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies because DUH! ;) Hope you all are enjoying your Tuesday, happy shopping!
I am a firm believer that certain wardrobe colors go better with certain hair colors. I love blondes in black, and brunettes in white. Which brings me to my next point, its still in the 80's here in NJ and this, "no white after labor day" rule is just not sitting well with me. I've always hated this rule. Its still hot most places in September, and sometimes even October. Why say goodbye to all of your white? It limits your wardrobe and is pointless! So, because I love wearing white; I broke the rules at fashion week and wore this adorable white dress exploring and shopping one morning. The outfit I had planned for a show and the Rstyle party accidentally got stained, so I had to make a last minute trip to Bloomingdales that morning. It was chaos!
Also, a little disclaimer- I wore this outfit in NY, but didn't have time to get pictures taken in it. So, I recreated the outfit and my amazing husband took images for me downtown. :) hehe
Happy Friday! Well, if you hadn't noticed already; I've been really horrible at blogging this month. I have been busy getting my oldest ready and signed up for school, had family come into town, went on a family vacation to Atlantic City, and then I left for NYFW. It feels so good to finally be back home and in our routine again.
If you follow me on instagram or snapchat (bethanyd87), you know that I spent the last week in New York for Fashion Week. I have to say it was such a memorable experience. The lifestyle there, the vibe, the people, everything was just so different from what I am used to. I met some amazing fellow bloggers there, who I know I will have as lifelong friends. It was a really great experience, and one that I hope to have again every year. I changed mid day and wore this jumpsuit to a Ryan Roche presentation, the Vogue magazine party, and to dinner with friends later that night. I wanted something polished yet chic, and this outfit fit the bill perfectly. I loved that it was a culotte jumpsuit vs. a regular trouser pant. I thought it gave it a little more of a unique look, which I loved. I hope you all love it as much as I did.
Is it really already September? I think I'm still in denial! Fall shopping is now in full force and I'm having way too much fun! Have any of you shopped the summer clearance sales at Nordstrom yet? If not- id highly suggest it! See my top picks below.
On another note. Have any of you ever worn something to a party or event and then later looked at pictures and thought, "what was I thinking wearing that!?' Well, as I was going through these images I couldn't help but laugh, because these sunglasses kinda make me look like an alien. Its fine; ill just go with it, because the rest of the outfit is pretty cute if you ask me. hah I mean, olive green denim? Im in love! I had been looking for the perfect pair for a while now, and was thrilled when I found some at Windsor. Oh, and guess what? They are only $27!!! I paired them with this adorable blouse from Pleione and decided to spice things up and mix prints with some leopard heels. This outfit is perfect for fall transition. Just throw on some boots and a jacket when it starts to get chilly, and you're good to go! I hope you all had a fantastic Labor Day weekend. xoxo
Holy cow you guys! Can you believe its already Labor Day weekend? Where has the time gone? I've spent the last three hours shopping some of the best sales, the Nordstrom sale of course is one of my favorites. I also love J Crews selection this year as well because one of my favorite coats for winter is finally on sale again for only $120!! Im ecstatic!
Please Note: This style guide is all shoppable, so click on the item you like to be taken right to the retailers website. :)
I absolutely adore floral print, and want to wear it all year! However, florals can be hard to find in the colder months. It's just much more appropriate in the spring/summer. So of course the second I laid eyes on this adorable floral dress from West Kei thats perfect for fall, I had to have it. This dress is probably one of my favorites. It is beyond flattering in all of the right places, and I love the way it flows as I walk. You can purchase West Kei clothing at Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman Marcus, and other high end retail shops. Their clothing is not only adorable, but the quality is also great. I promise you will love their clothes! I hope you are all having a fabulous week! Oh, and happy Fri-YAY tomorrow!
