It seemed only fitting to share this post on a gloomy rainy day, because this outfit is 100% rain approved! I'm outwitting the weather with this brilliantly British brand Joules! I don't know if it's just me, but if I wake up to rain in the morning; my day is pretty much shot. Im grumpy, tired, and irritable. Basically if its gloomy and rainy out, stay away from me. Haha Having cute rain boots, and a waterproof jacket make things a bit better for me though. My husband was teasing me the other night about how many rain boots I have, but I just cannot help but love them! I think they are so adorable, and the boys and I love going puddle jumping in our rain gear. Plus, how else am I supposed to get through those cold, wet, gloomy days?

Can you believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving? I for one am majorly excited for the holidays and spending time with my loved ones. We've had Christmas music on all day, and are prepping our pies for our big feast tomorrow. This time of year is truly my favorite.

Its beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! This last week New York and Company spoiled us rotten and helped us experience the magic of New York at Christmas. We went Ice Skating a Rockefeller Center, ate the most amazing dinner at the Rainbow Room, and then a Radio City Rockettes show to top it all off. I loved walking around downtown NYC and seeing all of the trees wrapped with lights, and shop windows decked out in holiday decor. I don't think there's is a single place more full of Holiday Cheer this time a year than NYC.
I wore this black lace dress during our festivities that night, and it was definitely a show stopper. I love the fit, and the lace detailing that's to die for. The best part is that it's on sale for a killer deal. I mean, you will not believe the price! I wanted to keep this look simple and classy, so I paired this dress with this simple (and adorable) nude mini satchel. I hope you love it as much as I do.
I can't believe Thanksgiving is THIS WEEK! Man, has time flown by! Living in New Jersey away from all family can be a little rough around the holidays, but we are hoping to make our own traditions within our own little family. I put this outfit together the other day, and thought to myself; "This would make the cutest Thanksgiving Day outfit!" This time of year is so full of excitement, and not to mention the beautiful fallen leaves are everything!
As you might have seen here, a couple weekends ago I attended a blogger retreat with some of my favorite fellow bloggers at Sea Island Resort. It was a fabulous time, at one of the most amazing five star resorts in the US. I wore this outfit to the Georgian room where we enjoyed a phenomenal 5 course meal. If you ever go to this resort, make sure to order the squash soup if its on the menu. It was probably the most delicious soup I've ever eaten in my life, and I'm honestly not exaggerating. I called it "fall in a bowl," because this scrumptious soup warmed me up with sweet spices that reminded me of a crisp fall day.
We are now in full holiday mode over here at the Dyer household. My boys are getting super excited and ask to play "Polar Express," every day. We line up our dining chairs in the living room and turn it into a giant train. Then we play our favorite holiday songs and drink hot chocolate. This time of year is the only time I let them drink in the living room, and they absolutely love it! We truely love this season, and the spirit it brings.
As most of you already know, I met up with these gorgeous blogger babes for a quick trip to Sea Island Resort at the Cloister. It was a fabulous trip, and we all fell in love with the grounds, the food, the staff, everything was just perfect. Did I mention our rooms were HUGE? That was a plus too!
While there, the girls and I had the privilege of partnering with Draper James; Reece Witherspoon's adorable new clothing line, to show off their new Holiday Collection. Let me tell you, its a good one folks! I absolutely love all of the designs and prints. I instantly fell in love with this cape the second I saw it. I knew it had to be mine. The print is just to die for, and I love that I can hide my hot chocolate belly under it all day. The material is very high quality, and something that will be sure to keep you warm on cold winter days.
