About Kiss Me Darling

How did you come up with your blog name? If you know me personally, you know how much my family means to me. I use the word 'Darling' too often when describing them, especially my two sweet little boys. I come from a very affectionate family. We don't hand shake, we give hugs and kisses on the cheek. Thus came the name 'Kiss Me Darling,' it seemed fitting for my personality. I want my blog to be fun and welcoming, and of course represent my own personal style.

What is the source of Inspiration behind your blog? I wanted to create a site where my readers could go to seek fashion inspiration, without having to break the bank. I am a firm believer that you do not have to spend a lot of money, to look and feel great. Ever since I can remember I've always had a passion for fashion. My poor mom could tell you some funny stories about me growing up fighting with my older sister over clothes. In high school I was running late for school because my boots were not lacing up fast enough. My mom finally told me to put something else on, to which I replied "but the boots are the whole point of the outfit, mom!" As you can see, she's a total saint for raising such a fashion snob. I'm a lot better now, don't worry! ;)

Where did you grow up/where do you live? I grew up in Southern California, met my husband in Utah during College, and we are now residing in Morristown New Jersey!  :)

What Inspires you personally: I am inspired by all things beautiful. My family and my faith are what push me to be a better person.

Something Interesting about yourself? Both my boys were born 13 weeks early (no they cannot figure out why this happens) They are an example to me every day of how precious this life is, and that it should not be taken for granted. One week after Beckham was born, they told us he would not make it and asked us to say our goodbyes. That is not something id wish on my worst enemy. I truly believe in miracles, because he is still here today happy and healthy.

Im a new blogger, any tips? I am most certainly no expert, and am learning as I go. Some things I've learned along the way is to be genuine, be consistent, and be PATIENT! It's so easy to compare yourself to others, but as long as you keep at it and do your best, you'll see results.

  4. What an adorable family you have!! And how heartbreaking to think you have to say goodbye to your brand new baby boy. I am not gonna lie, I am sitting here tearing up over how awful that must have been for you and your family. UGH. Thank God he is here and doing well. Anyway, I appreciate the advice for new bloggers because I am one, myself. It is VERY hard not to compare myself to others but I'm trying not and and just keeping on keeping on...! It's hard to stay consistent b/c I have a full time job and a kiddo so I have very little time. If you want, you can check out my blog! It's www.myfashionfingerprint.com. Oh, and I am @loopyscorpio on IG...I found you there. :) xoxo, Rachael
