Tassels and Fringe featuring Billabong

These past few days here in NJ have been sunny and gorgeous. This is a great change in scenery compared to the weeks we had of non stop rain. My family and I have been trying to take advantage of this beautiful weather as best we can, and have spent quite a few days at the pool. Seems like most of my wardrobe lately is beach coverups, and I'm totally fine with that. This darling dress from Billabong is probably one of my favorites. I love the embroidered detailing, and the back is to die for!    I was browsing through these photos and told my husband, "I feel like I need a tropical drink to go with this outfit!" Am I right? I think I need to plan a trip to Mexico STAT! I hope you all love it as much as I do.

Make sure to check out my beach essentials here! Happy Tuesday! XOXO

A Day At The Beach...

Todays post is all about fun in the sun, especially at the beach! A few days ago, my husband and I took the kids to Point Pleasant Beach and it was a total blast!  I wore my new favorite swim coverup from Les Neo Bourgeoises. You guys, I'm obsessed. When it first arrived I swear it smelt like fresh strawberries and bananas. I also received this gorgeous off the shoulder coverup, and about died when I tried it on. I cannot wait to show you all how cute it is!  Plus, the two tone ombre pink is adorable and I love the sleeves. When I saw this yellow building I knew I had to have my husband snap a picture. I know the pineapple trend is a little overkill and so cliche, but you guys; BRIGHT YELLOW WALL, pink dress, pink sunglasses, I pretty much had to! I wore it over this adorable swimsuit from Kortni Jeane. If you haven't checked them out yet, you should. Darling and modest swimsuits for a great price. I mean this number has to be one of the cutest swimsuits I've ever seen! I promise you will not be dissapointed.

Back to our day at the beach- I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with Point Pleasant. Once we walked in I noticed there was a Carnival right on the boardwalk with tons of rides for the kids. Then further down was arcades, adorable ice cream parlors and shops, jugglers and clowns blowing up balloons for the kids, and so much more! Cayman and Beckham were in absolute heaven! Hence not a single photo of them looking at the camera, they were too excited about everything around them. Haha The beach was perfect for small kids. The waves formed really small, and you didn't have to go very far out to catch one. Our littlest Beckham has always been a little dare devil and has no sense of fear. Finally Skyler (my husband) started to hold him over the small waves, and once it was safe enough and he was touching the shore, he would let him go and let the wave slowly push him further to shore. Beckham thought it was the coolest thing in the world. He laughed and laughed, and when the tide pulled back; daddy would pick him up and do it all over again. Cayman on the other hand is terrified of sharks like his mama, and would only go a few steps in (good boy!)

Sorry there are so many photos, I usually try and stick to five, but this post is one of my favorites. It really captures the relationship Skyler has with our kids. I always say I have three kids including my husband, because he is such a kid at heart. Haha I love that he takes the time to get down to their level, and plays with them like he's a kid too. I adore their relationship, and am so grateful they have a daddy who loves them so much! <3 <3

Vacation Ready

My husband and I are planning a vacation for after the summer, so I've been on the hunt for some super cute beachwear and cover-ups. I seem to be gravitating toward summer dresses, especially this off the shoulder number shown below. I mean, if this doesn't give you heart eyes; I don't know what will! We haven't decided exactly where we are going, but want to take the kids with us of course. I personally have a really hard time leaving them and can't seem to fully enjoy myself no matter how hard I try. #paranoidmomproblems. Did I just hashtag a blog post? Yes I did! hah Any suggestions as to some fun vacation ideas for kids? Preferably somewhere tropical with white sand beaches, but it also has to be kid friendly. Maybe a Disney Cruise? Any and all suggestions are welcome!

Hope you're all having a great weekend! XOXO

Fall Transition featuring Poverty Flats

Okay, I promise this will be my last post about fall items until it is actually getting a little colder here in NJ. Hah Please don't hate me! The #nsale has got me thinking about fall clothes/shoes, mostly because Ive been seeing so many adorable pieces on sale for a killer deal! My outfit in todays post is specifically inspired by this amazing sale. This beautiful Poverty Flats bag is genuine leather, with lots of room for whatever you might need on a day to day basis. As a mom; its perfect for snacks, sippy cups, and pretty much anything I need for my kids. Not to mention- it has a little detachable wristlet for all of my mommy must haves. My husband and I took the kids to the beach yesterday, so I detached my wristlet and loaded it with my debit card, car keys, hair comb, etc so it wouldn't get lost in our beach bag. Want to know the best part? This genuine leather bag is on sale for only $92. Such a good deal for a bag like this!

I paired it with my new favorite flats (also on sale); unfortunately because they are selling like hot cakes, sizes are limited. They also have this similar style available in multiple sizes. Oh and don't even get me started on this denim. I found an almost identical pair on sale for only $39!!! A good friend of mine bought them; and you guys, they are are the same wash! Plus, they are very flattering!

I hope you are all having a fantastic Thursday! XOXO

Craving Fall...

Okay Okay, so its the middle of July and I'm posting about fall outfits. Am I crazy? Maybe a little... but the Nordstrom sale has me craving fall like never before! So, because I'm sure I'm not the only one looking for fall items; here are a few fall outfits I put together for your viewing pleasure. Okay, but really I saw a couple of these outfits on the website and had major hearts eyes. So, now you can have them too! The first outfit though- I'm obsessed.

Anyone else having a hard time buying summer clothes, when fall seems like it's just around the corner? July is almost over, then August almost always flies by for me. Then September hits and we pretty much celebrate all month because its Beckham's Birthday, then BOOM it's Halloween!! As much as I love summer, this 93 degree weather with 30% humidity has got to stop! Im ready for some cooler air.

Anyway, hope you're all having a fantastic Tuesday! XOXO

Lady in Red...

There's just something I love so much about a red dress, and when I find one that has sleeves and is knee length, I simply must have it! This beautiful dress from Mikarose is perfect for so many occasions, and ill definitely be wearing it to one of my friends weddings coming up in the fall. I paired it with these gorgeous gold metallic heels and pearl accent jewelry, to give it a more classy sophisticated look.

Want to hear a funny story about this dress? I wore it to church a few Sundays ago not thinking anything of it, and a little boy in my class (I teach the 6-7 year olds in Primary) said to me, "Sister Dyer, red is the color of a harlot and of Satan. You should really think about what you wear to church!" Haha I guess I won't be wearing red to church again. I just stood there dumbfounded, and couldn't stop laughing afterward. Seriously, some of the things I hear kids say crack me up!

Anyway, I hope you are having an amazing Monday! XOXO
